This book is about the Salem witch trials. This book explains what went on and who was involved. There were many different characters in this book like Abigail who is harlot that started the Salem witch trials because she was the mistress to a man named John Proctor .
The whole Salem trials started because he ended there secret relationship because he loved his wife and didn't want to commit adultery anymore. Abigail then started to accuse people of witchcraft which makes people think they are all up to mischief. In the end how many will be dead due to Abigail's ignorance?

The word I chose is Contention I chose this word because It means stressed. This word is important to this book because there is a lot to be stressed about at this time. There are people and families being torn apart. I would be really stressed if something like the Salem witch trials went through my town and took my family away.

The character I picked is Abigail I chose the word mischeif I have chosen this word because I think that Abigail is very mischevious in here ways.Like in the beginning of our book she tricks people into thinking other people are witches.She also is mischevious when she annoyingly tries to get with Goody Proctor she is being mischevious trying to do that behind Elizabeths back.
